Should I See a Nutritionist or Dietitian?

As registered and licensed dietitians, we are considered the experts in diet and medical nutrition therapy. What are dietitians? It is easy to confuse dietitians and nutritionists, but there are major differences. All dietitians are nutritionists, but not all nutritionists are dietitians. Registered Dietitians (RD) or Registered Dietitian-Nutritionists (RDN) are considered the experts in the field of nutrition and dietetics due to the extensive training, education requirements and testing. Only a registered dietitian has the credentialing and expertise to provide the most accurate and up-to-date dietary recommendations completely individualized to your personal needs.
